Dear Ruzena:

	I think Matt Ginsberg is worthy of serious consideration for
an Assistant Professor position in AI.  He started in AI when
he came to Stanford a few years ago as an unpaid visitor in my group.
He works on hard problems of AI methodology and formalizations.
He has had several papers accepted for meetings.
	
	I haven't found any of his papers a real breakthrough, but
I think his chances are good of achieving one if he persists as
I'm sure he will.
